I am very grateful! ^^

Dear readers,

Well since this is the last day of the year I thought that this would be a good occasion to write a post on what I am thankful for.

The people I am most thankful to are my parents. They have always supported me in everything I did, and I am truly grateful to them for it. It’s nice to know that they will always stand right behind me, no matter decisions I make (well as long as it is a wise one).

I am also extremely thankful to all my close friends (you know who you are)… They are always there for me when I need them. I am not the type of person who easily shows her emotions or for whom it is easy to share with others what she thinks. However, just knowing that there are people that are there for me when I need them really gives me strength.

I am grateful to my ex-boyfriend for leaving me with some really wonderful memories. Also I am very grateful to his family for making me feel like I really was part of their family and that they still treat me kindly. They have been very understanding… Especially his grandmother with whom I still have e-mail contact (usually once every week). The woman is 83, but knows how to deal with computers ;).

More grateful I am to my current boyfriend. He really accepts me for who I am… with all my silly addictions and my (silly) flaws. This is the first time that I am experiencing this feelings to such an extent, and I am still trying to get used to it… or at least trying to learn how to deal with it hahaha. This little control freak is sometimes kind of losing control at times lol. He’s been very patient with me in that respect and I really really appreciate that.  I am really fortunate to have found someone as special as him, and I hope we can be together for a long long time.

I am also really thankful for being given the opportunity to do the Master Literary Studies. I really enjoy most of the subjects which I follow for that master and I really like the fact that I can chose most of the courses myself. This really does enable me to broaden the path that I have chosen. As such I am also very grateful to the two teachers who wrote me a recommendation letter. ^^ Without those it would not have been possible to enter the program.

I am really looking forward to what the new year has to bring. It is bound to be exciting and filled with lots of opportunities to grow: be it academically as well as personally.

I wish everyone a happy New Year, filled with luck, love, prosperity and a little magic. May all your wishes come true when the clock strikes 12 ;).

Love,

Blacky.

Thus they did, at least some for me. I am glad that things are going good for you. I am happy that you are moving forward. You've always been an amazing person and I know that everything you set your mind to this new year will come true in an instant.
